Simplifying your life can really get complicated.
If you want to cut meat out of your diet, you have to find things to replace the nutrients. It's even worse if you cut out dairy/eggs as well: so many foods get cut out, so many other supplements to add in, etc.
Reducing your body's size [should it actually make something easier for you] is complicated, too. I might just be naive, but I have yet to see someone go on a diet, without being harrassed by someone they know. Why? Because people are easily jealous, and refuse to help someone else change when they themselves can't change.
If you're adding in some stress relief to your life [religion, yoga, smoking, etc.] then literally EVERY type of stress that could hope to appear in life will do so all at once. Change can get a bit tedious since with the slightest bit of stress, the average human being is tempted to go back to square one [and usually does a few times].
Bottom line: If you want a simple life, be ready for an assload of complications.
[Off-topic: I just noticed this prior to inhaling just about everything bad in the kitchen. I'm not proud, but I'm also refusing to puke. The uninformed might think self-induced vomiting is done out of vanity, but in all reality vanity is the reason I'm forcing myself to stop after 2 1/2 years. So clearly vanity didn't cause it in the first place. Thank you.]
